Mercy graduated in 2002 as Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, India. She was awarded “The Best Outgoing Student Award” for excellent academic performance during her study. She did her internship in various disciplines like orthopedic, neurology, cardiovascular, women’s health, fitness and rehab in India. She worked for 9 years as a physiotherapist in neuromusculoskeletal and sports clinic as Senior Physiotherapist before moving to Canada in 2012. While her tenure as a physiotherapist in India, she engaged herself in assessing patients through evaluative measures and established treatment goals based on diagnosis and functional outcomes. She also liaised with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient’s problems, needs and development and maintained clinical and statistical records of the department.
Mercy constantly enrolls in continuing medical education programs and conferences to update her skills and techniques. She strongly believes “knowledge is power” and is interested in pursuing education courses further to keep herself updated.
She is passionate about connecting with people of all walks of life. Her biggest strength is caring attitude with an in-depth subject knowledge and clinical experience. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful family.
